Ricochet?
-
Anyone here ever use a ricochet wireless modem card for their powerbook? I hear that in the areas that it works that it’s 128 kbps for the most part and very reliable, although expensive. Anyone with experience?

I didn’t realize that Ricochet had a network in P’Burgh.
Never used one but check out these links:

http://www.macintouch.com/wirelessreader2.html (search for ‘ricochet’)Extra info never hurts.

Oh they don’t, darn it. But they say Pittsburgh is one of 45 or so markets they hope to have up and running this year. I think I’d try it.

That was some great info on Ricochet. Most detailed I’ve ever seen. Thank you very much. I still can’t tell whether or not Pittsburgh is one of the areas that is delayed or not, but I’d still be willing to try this when it comes out provided I don’t have to sign a long-term contract right away.
