g3 meets quicktime via IE exlporer

I have an issue with IE on a G3, using OS 9.0.1

When using Quicktime (with internet streaming) in IE , it will only play for a few seconds before completely dropping me, or freezing.

Connection speeds are fine in the video player , quick time is version 5.0 (most recent and finally out of beta),

speed is fine on the ISP , the stream is optimized at a rate i should be able to receive.

any ideas? anyone expericing this?

Real Player works fine… its just quicktime, and it seems only 5.0.
the 4.0 works fine.
