Firewire for Powerbook
-
Howdy all…
I have a bit of a conundrum… I want to use firewire devices on my G3 Powerbook (1999 Bronze). This in itself is easy. Just use a firewire PCMCIA card in the one slot provided. The problem is that the slot is being used by a wireless networking card. Since one of the firewire devices I want to use is a webcam, and the network connection depends on the wireless card, I can’t just switch back and forth between the two.
Do I have any options here? Is there such a thing as a PCMCIA expansion card?
Thanks for any replies…

I think I remember hearing about a 3rd party PCCard expansion module. Check out for the Made4Mac section at Apple.com, it might be there.

Sounds like what I’m looking for, Burnam, but nothing in the Made4Mac area on apple.com. I’ll do some more searching though.
Thanks!
