Altivec Programming?
-
similar to the cocoa books thread, can anybody suggest a good tutorial for learning how to optimize for Altivec? Are there any free vector optimizing compilers (eg preprocessors to optimize completely non-vector code ala VAST)?
so far I’ve found (but haven’t started seriously reading)

http://developer.apple.com/hardware/ve/and numerous PDFs at those sites.
I’m going to be writing some scientific code that should be highly vectorizeable.
