Looks like good old MS is up to their tricks again.
Microsoft pulls the rug on Java . I am so so so so glad that I use a Mac.

Well, it is their operating system to do with what they want, and you *will* have the option of downloading it, but ...

What gets me is that they said Java was unwanted and unneeded by many of their users. Hm, sounds like most MS code to me ...
