Here is a new Chain Gang startup:

The sole aim is to post silly, daft, absurd ideas, concerning products that Apple should release, a new market it should tap into, or a new marketing schtick to sell more Macs/iPods.

I’ll start.

——————————————
Apple should really get into the cosmetics market. With its great industrial design, they would appeal to a whole new demographic. iPod and Mac sales would shoot up into space.

Apple should partner with Kraft to include an iPod in every Kool-Aid pack.

A shuffle that is like a hearing aid, holding 100 songs. “Miracle Pod”. You simply pop it in one ear. Sell it for $19.99 (it should also have the ability to sync with another “Miracle Pod” for listening in stereo)  bug eyed

A quad core, dual purpose education/consumer machine, where each processor can be tasked separately. It would also have a unique, circular shape.

The e i e i o.

How about Apple making their own Sci-fi tv show. big grin

After almost being destroyed by the “winlons”, (robots running various versions of M$‘s OS) the remaining humans are in search of a new home to create and use Macs. They are relentlessly pursued throughout the galaxy by the winlons, who are bent on destroying them. “Battlestar Maclactica” sounds like a good title.

Apple could open their own chain of cinemas. Call it iPod Ultimate Movies: you’ll be totally immersed.

It’s time for Apple to get people nostalgic by re-introducing the old Cray computer that takes up a whole room. It must be a hit!

idea  How about getting into the sod business. For a price of only $499, a team of Apple Sodders will come and plant an area of up to 400 sq. ft. in the shape of the Apple logo, using Kentucky Blue Grass. The iSod division.

As I wrote in the Lounge (if still there big grin ), a Macbook with a special dock base to warm sandwiches and food in general.

Top side, a computer, bottom side a food warming system.

Hey, here’s the new energy saver!

It’s time for Apple to acknowledge all those folks up North who have to face excruciatingly cold winters every year. Yes, it’s time for Apple’s laptops to double as radiators. The new aluminum shell will allow an even heat distribution across the bottom of the computer.

Apple is going to have to design this device very carefully, as we have already seen the disastrous results of Dell’s careless design:

“excruciatingly cold winters”, are you really sure?

Hem, the pack ice of the North Pole is melting more and more… :o or, on the contrary you mean that heating houses using Mac laptops maybe reduce CO2 emissions?

Ol’crazy mac world.
