  Apple closed down today (6/20) $.01 at $17.11 on above average volume of more than 7 million shares.

  Apple closed on Friday (6/21) at $16.85, down $.26 on the day. Volume was an above average 7.9 million shares as the stock fell through a symbolic floor of $17.00 per share.

  AAPL @ $16

  If Apple stock flirts with the $16 mark, would that not be the best time to buy AAPL in years??? I can’t see the stock NOT getting back to $20 plus by January ‘03, n’est pas?

  I’m not an analyst or broker so no one should make invrestment decisions based on my opinion. My opinion is that Apple is grossly oversold, expecially considering the cash on hand and the margin on its products. Apple’s problem IMHO is lack of a consistent revenue and earning picture which can be used to project earnings over future periods.

  Apple is poised to announce another profitable quarter, unlike many of its competitors that are still losing money on their PC business segments. In my opinion Apple is well postitioned to take advantage of the upswing in PC sales which may begin in the latter part of 2002 or the beginning of 2003. Until then, it may be a rough road for Apple’s share price as well as the share prices of other PC makers.

  Dell

  Notice that Dell is doing very well.  A month ago Apple and Dell were a point or two apart.  Now it is more like 6 or 7, a big difference, and Dell, not Apple has been holding.

  I think Dell had a big winner with Dude, and the new Apple ad campaign seems flat; I almost miss the ads when they come on.
