Huge rally into the close, market-wide. This is exactly the whipsaw action I was concerned about, and why I didn’t par back my position, or trade, this week - its senseless, its rigged, and we don’t have an edge here.
Shame we can’t close green, but we’re back around $138 again, which is better than a kick in the teeth and drop to $135 hey?
I’d be happier with a close over 138.20, but it aint gonna happen.
138.25 in AH Very tempted to sell my two buys from earlier today at this price and knowing good chance there will be new attempts to bring AAPL down for OE tomorrow and Friday.
I don’t get the mechanism that depresses the stock price. But whatever it’s strength, keeping aapl down in the face of all the news on the Finance Board the last two days will be a tough job.
[quote author=“SNIPUS”]no trap methinks.. IBM and eBay earnings help and HPQ’s announcement of PC sales hall propelling Apple anticipation… GOOG earnings to come gonna be fun
See breaking news. Piper discusses subscriber revenue sharing arrangements, but gets the maths so totally wrong its not even funny. Even though they’ve underestimated the contribution to AAPL’s EPS by a factor of 10 its still a good rumour to get the stock up.
I’m very very disappointed with Munster for not doing the maths properly here.
The stock reached almost $141 in PM and Europe and is sucking back now to $139.50 ... As this news of rev sharing spreads plus the other pos news flow ( IBM, EBAY,) as well as market share I think this OE will be different and Apple will blow thru $140 as early as today…
Whatever… but this week may be the last time to see this stock under $140

The trouble is that Piper completely blew the numbers.. they’re totally wrong, and I don’t know what the hell they’re thinking, but the benefit of subscriber revenue sharing just got lowballed like nothing I have ever seen, some 90% too low. The structure is now going to be dismissed as being particularly significant unless another “analyst” can be bothered to do the maths and contradict Piper Jaffray.
I’m really pissed off at this. Its inexcusably sloppy bordering on criminally negligent! :x

Bah… I’m sick of this “lowballing” garbage. Its time they did some real work and crunched some real numbers. For crying out loud, I did these calculations way back in January before any of these bozos, and I’m just a small trader working out of home in North London. If I can do it then they certainly can, especially with their contacts and inside info.
