Ok, its not technically a Mac game in this iteration, but Marathon 2 is being released on Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade with redone HD graphics and netplay. If anybody want to play this on Xbox360 shoot me a friend request anytime to KingBullitTrain on XBL.

I just thought it worth posting because this is one of the few Mac-only games that really offered a superior experience to its PC counterparts at the time, and this game is IMHO the main reason MS bought Bungie in the first place.

Yeah, anybody reading this, the game turned out to be garbage IMO. The graphics didn’t make me sick like they apparently did some (as in, motion sickness), but the control is mediocre despite the claim that they based it on Halo’s, and the online multiplayer is so laggy its utterly worthless. Go download Aleph One if you want to play Marathon…its such a great game.

If anybody needs a GOOD Xbox Live game, go get Omega Five. Then prepare to die over and over and still enjoy it, its a fresh slice of shoot-em-up I’m quite taken with.

Daimac,

Greetings ah yes the Bungie Wonder Years, Oni, Marathon, before they sold out to the Dark Lord!
So a dumb question if I may if I ever want to play Halo beyond the original I will need an Xbox?
What would such a thing run and do you need a TV to plug it into or can you use an Apple Cinema Display?

TIA
