According to the new issue of Popular Science, China has already created a knock-off of Apple’s newest creation.

Here’s the link:

Doesn’t this violate patent, copyright or other law?

Holy smoke!  It’s definitely a clone in terms of its looks and industrial design.  I have no idea if Apple can successfully press patent infringement charges against the company, especially in China, where the government does not respect patents, copyright, or any other form of IP.

Apple has a great record of defending its industrial design with the many attempts to rip off the iMac, but that was in Taiwan, not China.

Nice find, gulmatan!  We’ll be covering this on Thursday.

Note that I moved this to the Browse. Mix. Share. Phone forum from the iPhone support forum.
