[quote author=“Play Ultimate”][quote author=“carbonat”]Anyhow, it is really depressing looking at AAPL going down and the indices continuing its ascent.
Apple has been trapped between 135-136 almost all day.

Not anymore
What the heck is going on????
Bears taking advantage of low volume weakness. Wouldn’t break up, so break it down.
[quote author=“Tommo_UK”]...it was a breakout over the downtrend helped by the NDX breaking over its 1-week downtrend. Now if the NDX can get over 1980 we’ll see further gains for the day - AAPL will rally into the close as mama and papa bear close their shorts.
If the Nas falls back under the downtrend I think a lot of people will take profits off the table from today’s rise, which will leave AAPL free to fall back towards last week’s lows instead.
Voila
Don’t panic. Didn’t I say a re-test of support was almost inevitable? This was a classic bull trap and accompanying bear raid into the close.
I think this is a clear case of criminal or near-criminal collusion. Over 1 million shares dumped or shorted (probably shorted) in the space of 2 minutes. That amounts to over $135 million worth of shares sold in that short amount of time. This is a clear case of either black boxes doing their BS, or a bunch of Cramer’s old friends calling each other saying “Okay, three, two, one… SELL!!!
Looked to me, the whole day was a set-up for this raid/test of support, especially holding AAPL flat for most of the day while the market rallied. Recovering quickly and looks good.
Perfect - a retest of support that held and gave way to a buying surge into the close. Just what was needed to perhaps out a bottom in. The bears tried to break 134.50 and couldn’t hold it down there.
I still think there’s a bull trap in the making next week off the Fed news, but I’m pleased to see the stock recover key support today after the blatant shenanigans we just saw. That means more to me than the entire last two days’ moves.
