Ahh I see.. it was marked as a “short candidate” by the “BlueChipTrader” as reported on Brifeing.com.. lol.. laughable how these trading calls can impact the stock. I guess they missed all the recent reports of booming Mac sales, FY08 earnings upgrades, and reports of iPhones selling at a sustained 50% higher than after the launch, following the price cut.

Morons.

AAPL will likely trade off RIMM’s report, pure and simple. Anything s/t that happens today is noise.

RIMM touched $100 and sold off 5-6%.

GOOG almost touched $600 and pulled back almost $20.

AAPL almost hit $160 yesterday.

See the pattern?

Its the <drum roll> .. “Law of Round Numbers!” Ayyyyy…. selllll…. roll eyes(I just made that up by the way).

This is just AAPL’s turn to see some profit taking and mama/papa bear shorting after almost touching $160. This is just trader-driven whipsawing. The real stock mover is going to be RIMM’s report tonight. I wouldn’t trade this - long or short - right now. Just stand aside if you’re on a high margin, or can’t take the volatility because it could shoot off in either direction.

I usually figure that by the time these reports are out, the big boys have made their money (shorted at 159).  Now it’s an opportunity for them to buy back in cheap as the small investor gets whip-sawed.

Bloomberg just tried to link AAPL’s decline with “news that Microsoft is going to challenge Apple on single-fee music downloads.”

WTF does that mean anyway? Talk about grasping at straws. If they don’t know why a stock has really gone down, why don’t they just say so, rather than trying to make stupid, meaningless commentary roll eyes

If it breaks $156 it could go for $153.50. Shorties are out in force today. Quadra and Plato just turned up for the party a bit too early big grin

Dip buyers rev your engines! The market is getting routed, and AAPL’s in free fall with it. Buying opp coming up!

You guys got the pullback you wanted.

Obviously I got in a day too early.

If the market goes down tomorrow we could see sub 150.

I think one reason for the pullback is Leopard.  No one is talking about it, but with three weeks left we have not seen Golden Master.  I wonder if someone knows that it might be delayed.
