This may be why Apple’s latest iPhone ads all feature down-to-earth, and kinda scruffy men - they’re trying to broaden the device’s appeal beyond women and metrosexuals.

Which one is Doug Kass?  lol

[quote author=“Hamourabi”]I just started testing iWorks 08 and I must tell you :

90% of users do not have anymore to buy Office and pay Microsoft tax

I’d say the same thing, iWork 08 apps are really nice.  Import and Export office docs with liitle problem, but I am concerned about documents from the NEW ms Office - I think this will be another wrench in the works (no pun intended).

Pages 3 (part of iWork 08) will import Word 2007 documents. In fact, from reviews I’ve read, Pages does a better job than the beta format converter that Microsoft supplies for use with Word 2004. Similarly, Numbers will import Excel 2007 documents for the most part—there are some features in Excel that are not in Numbers. Keynote 4 will import PowerPoint 2007 documents, as well.

As always, there may be minor formatting issues.

That’s great news!  What i’m really worried about is MS’s attempts to get their ooxml or whatever it’s called approved.  From my limited understanding this would make it very easy for them to constantly shift the playing field.
But I am going to try replacing Office with iWork fulltime at work and see how it goes.  From my investigation into using this weekend it looks very promising.

Good info. smile

I haven’t jumped to the latest iWork version but may do so for the holidays. I’m eager for my current version of Office to be my last.
