When the First nano came out there were problems with the screens getting scratched, so th 2G nano used the wrap-around metal to allow the screen to be indented and prevent scratches better.

Are the new Nano’s screens indented or using a harder plastic to prevent scratches? They almost look like they went back to the original design with a flush screen that could get scratched again.

Just bought a 5g Nano and the screen is not recessed.  I haven’t had a problem with my old 4g screen getting scratched, but I can’t remember whether or not it had a recessed screen.
