If the Bears fail thee will be a lot of short covering. I thinks that’s what we saw happen on Friday.

Maybe if AAPL had followed the Nasdaq, but lost synchronisation 45 min ago.

Are you smoking crack? No way AAPL closes over $170.00…...

Soshortme lol

On a serious note, yes I agree. More likely the bears try it on again and again (beating themselves to a pulp, that lot - they must be losing $10 for every $1 they gain in a day trade since trying to short the stock off its August low), but frankly, don’t discount the momentum in AAPL - its fiercely strong. And if AAPL got the kind of boost RIMM got from its earnings report, that would put us at around $190 after earnings. Don’t even begin to discuss why this might or might not happen, I’m not saying it will or won’t, I’m just pointing out how momentum traders see things; they paint by numbers and just keep on joining the dots until the trade stops working..

Frankly, we informed AAPL investors are by far the more sceptical about the likelihood of a near-by spike from here than the momo crowd at the moment. Now there’s a turn of events!
