Umm, so what happened gents…  the up at the close spell was finally broken?  Let’s see if the gap up open spell is broken tomorrow also!  Ghost ridder the pattern is full razz

Will move this to the SNDK thread:

Funny about SNDK and the jackass way analysts measure ASP per GB when they should be looking at ASP per SKU. Number of GB’s sold simply increase faster than the price declines…  Once prices get low enough spinning hard drives will disappear, first in notebooks, then in servers, finally in desktops.  Price declines are great news… SSD bring em on idea  idea  idea

[quote author=“Demian”]Huh?

I’m showing a close of $167.86…......down 5 cents.

That’s what I’m reading also.

Now they’ve updated it again to 167.78. Good thing it’s not a horse race

EDIT: Finally TD has hit on 167.86 Lucky guess?

Bought 50 more shares in AH at 167.40

I had bought 50 other shares in AH yesterday at 167.50

given todays action I think we can hit 175 by earnings.

It looks to me like the market is pricing in earnings of .95

I am going with the big boys on this.  We may see some corrections but they will be short lived and difficult to time.

I am reading more and more opinions leaning towards a split in the 2nd quarter of next year.

Just talked to three teenagers and they all want the iPHone.

Split in the 2nd quarter of next year ?

Hmm, lets see: (thinking wishfully loud)

At Q4 07 earnings $184
Early Nov07: drop to $172
Ultimo Nov07: aha, Christmas coming, even this year too: $189 again
Dec07: modest $194
Jan08: event and earnings expectations builds up: $229
Feb08: $221
Mar08: $233
Apr08: $252
May08: $243
June08: zzzzzzzzzzzzz

So a 3 for 1 split in May08 would give us $81 back. Unless we get a 4 for 1 which means $60,75 all over again.

Event and product driven development in addition to profits and market share gains pouring in!! It’s really like watching an action thriller !! big grin - every single day. Not kidding cool

This is another article today that mentions a split. This is the third in two days.

FWIW, Costco beat by 8c, reports September same-store sales up 6%. Slightly light on revs.
Overall a decent report and nothing to feed the retail bears.

yeah just crossed the wire.. that 6% same store sales is very helpful and should give comfort to those that worry about consumers being ‘tapped out’

Re: iPhone cooler than a Hula Hoop

[quote author=“granny smith”]Piper Jaffray reports 3% of US teens own an iPhone.

How many phone service contracts are gonna get busted Xmas morning?

http://apple20.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2007/10/10/report-3-of-us-teens-surveyed-already-own-iphones/?source=yahoo_quote

Thanks for the link !

Of course, Piper Jaffray’s survey group may not be a fair sample of the broader teen population — and some quick back-of-the-envelope calculations suggest that it isn’t. There are roughly 28 million teenagers in the U.S., and it seems unlikely that they account for 840,000 of the 1.1 million iPhones sold so far. It’s far more likely that Piper Jaffray’s sample is tilted heavily toward a tech-savvy, upper-middle-class demographic.

But they believe Zune has 2% of the MP3 market. MS claims more than million sold. Then I believe the 3% iPhone ownership. They must be flooding out of Apples golden gates - a river of iPhones.

[quote author=”$Billyall”]Not that I want it to anytime soon but shouldnt AAPL try to come back and touch the 20day MA soon? or how long do you guys think it cn go without retesting it?

or how long till the 20 Day MA takes to catch up to the current price if we consolidate for a bit?

Why would you want that?
It can stay months (or at least weeks) without touching it!

Any proactive lol update from Tostrams?

Steady as she goes. 1st target and calculated resistance still set for 186, say that long term uptrend remains intact and continues (as long as 153.50 holds) see graph. Moneyflow still up. AAPL outperforms market.

okt.gif

So we’re halfway and still have a good 18 $ to go which I’m sure we’ll reach in no time. smile  After 186 I predict they will upgrade with another 37 points to 223, which coincides nicely with what Piper Jaffrays already thinks is going to happen
