[quote author=“Tommo_UK”][quote author=“Tommo_UK”]If we can get over 171.50 the stock could ramp into the close… I will otherwise raise my stop to 171 at this point though.
$171.28 now.
Edit: just sold it at 171.37 .. don’t want to be greedy - was just a scalp and ended up good for almost $2 profit.
Edit2: If AAPL gets over 171.50 I may buy again for a run to the close…

Argh - why wasn’t I greedy oh ... well over $172 now .. I should have stuck to my original plan and not behaved like a cow :x

UNH report tomorrow morning before the bell. Anyone going in for a trade?

Congrats on your great trade - be happy, not greedy!  smile

You did better than I did. Although I had 2 good and profitable trades today, my last one WOULD have been the BEST. Had a limit buy order at 169.10 - well guess what - didn’t get filled.  :cry

SAND? You mean SNDK (SanDisk) I’m guessing?
I just bought 3000 UNH at 48.52 for a trade into tomorrow morning’s earnings. Hoping this pig of a healthcare stock finally finds its wings again, but not holding out a huge amount of hope roll eyes

Plato, I know - you’re right - I should be happy with it. But I just missed another $1 through selling early. I should have just stuck to the plan I devised before I entered the trade and not let my bovine instincts throw me out of it too early…

Indeed, always stick to the plan… ...  roll eyes

Apple colsed above 172.44, wich I had drawed as a resistance line. Let’s hope it act as support tomorrow. And that the market feels positive after all the earnings that are coming this evening… GOOG was also this evening ? I guess this one is the closest to some kind off ‘apple mover’... Let’s watch 2.5 men and check back @ goog. smile

edgadget sort of calls Scott Moritz a stock manipulator in it’s story update.
Moritz is getting into the Mac rumor biz with “Macbook thin” speculation.

Well if this isn’t good for an AH spike, nothing is!

AAPL Apple’s U.S. Mac mkt share rises to 8.1% in Q3 - AppleInsider (172.75 +3.17)  -Update-

AppleInsider reports the co’s share of the U.S. personal computer mkt for the third calendar quarter of 2007 was 8.1%, up from 6.2% during the same period one year ago, according to results released from Gartner just minutes ago. The Cupertino-based co’s U.S. share grew 37.2% year-over-year—more than twice as fast as any other manufacturer ranked in Gartner’s top 5 PC vendors for the three-month period ending September—helping it snag a spot as the No. 3 U.S. PC vendor overall.

I believe the 173.50 hit in AH was the PEWT (Pre-earnings Whisper Top)  roll eyes

Wow.. 37.2% sales growth oh .. if you extended that to rest-of-world, it would mean Apple have indeed sold 2.2M Macs this quarter.

If that’s the case, and iPod sales are around 11M, then EPS for Q4 07 may be in the region of $1.10 - 1.15.
