[quote author=“artman1033”][quote author=“Tommo_UK”][quote author=“artman1033”]Has this been up before?  the Zune touch phone

Umm.. hate to disappoint you but that’s just a “user-submitted concept” submitted to zunescene by some poor bastard with too much time on his hands and a pirated copy of Photoshop lol

I like the fact that they are celebrating the sales of the BROWN 30GB Zune

The Zune Tatoo guy scared me…Is that MS’ idea of cool?!?!? bug eyed

I think the Zune Tattoo guy should be declared the official spokesperson and representative for all Zune users everywhere.

He quotes AT&T’s CEO as saying we will see a 3G iPhone next year!  smile

Could it be that FastCompany.com are the FUD masters when it comes to all things Apple and AAPL.

There is this little beauty but The Most Outrageous FUD Award goes to ADAM L. PENENBERG for his apocryphal tome… actually it kinda reminded me of the story of henny penny bug eyed

I think that FatsCompany must have accidentally shorted AAPL somewhat excessively to write this much ‘sky is falling’ impending doom and gloom rubbish. Oh well…

Yes, I read that earlier this week. Its the worst FUD and the most misguided crap I have read in years.. probably since 2004/5 when pundits were still poo-pooing the Mac and calling for the end of the iPod “fad.”

Welcome Stkstalker.

Remember that SJ himself said when he introduced the iPhone that a 3G phone would be coming and he did imply end of 2008.

breaking news from Briefing.com

love the last sentence

Apple to unveil faster iPhone, AT&T’s Stephenson says - Bloomberg (180.22
+5.41)

Bloomberg reports the co will introduce a version of the iPhone next year that can download from the Internet at a faster rate, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson   said. The device will operate on third-generation wireless networks, Stephenson said today at a meeting of the Churchill Club in Santa Clara, California. “You’ll have it next year,’’ Stephenson said in response to a question about when the 3G iPhone would debut. He said he didn’t know how much more the new version will cost than the existing model, which sells for $399.
Apple Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs “will dictate what the price of the   phone is,’’ he said.

I think the iPhones prices will be cut in half.  That is right you heard me, the iPhone will sell for as little as $200.  But the sales price will not come from Apple.  It will come from those of us who will upgrade in an instant to 2.0 There will be millions who will sell their first generation iPHones on the open market.

Keep in mind that Apple sold 110 million iPods not to 110 million people.  The iPod got cheap enough that people would buy more than one.

In the case of the iPhone 80% of owners love them.  I think about 30% of first generation iPhone owners will be ready to upgrade in no time flat.  Given the hot market in countries where it is not available, there is an even hotter market for those who want one but can’t afford it.  Knowing they can buy one for $200 used a year later will I think keep iPhone sales growing for the next 7 years. smile

You should really read the fineprint book that comes with the phone. It clearly states ‘when you resell the phone it will explode… in your face’. So no wurries there. wink
