We all know lots of time is wasted on social networking sites, but they can also be a good way to keep in touch with your friends. Especially when they live in a different city, state, or country.
So, which service do you like best and why? Sorry, the poll list is not very comprehensive. I listed the ones I know of, but I’m sure there are tons more.

I voted against them in general. I’ve seen too many kids get into trouble over them (including getting lured into pornography). There are some real sickos out there trolling through places like MySpace.

I really don’t use them, so I voted the way of hating. I don’t really hate them for what they are per se, but I don’t like using them myself. I find they waste a lot of time achieving nothing I couldn’t do better with email, IM, Skype, a phone or in person.
I like the idea of LinkedIn, but since I live in the UK and discussing business contacts is not such a good idea in our business it’s not overly useful to me.
Often with the likes of Twitter, Facebook and so on, I sign up to see what’s going on in that space and check in occasionally to see if much has changed but I really don’t use the service.

I was not lured into pornography. I was enticed by the money. That’s quite different!

Still evil, after all these years.!

Actually might a corollary of the social network sites be the social online games; Second Life et.al. I avoid those like the plague as well.

Millions if not billions of people use computers and the Internet.
I build computers and fix the internet.
I Win.
