Hello all,
I ordered a used G4 and it came with the small iMac kbd and the stylish yet un-ergonomic iMac mouse. Can anyone recommend a good full-size extended keyboard and a more ergonomic mouse?  Any brands/models to avoid?

Thanks,
Matt

The current Apple Pro Mouse is the most simple and yet nicest mouse around if you ask me. I’ve used ergonomical mice before, and yet, the Apple Pro Mouse has beaten them, at least for my right hand. No pain, no strain. Just a cool little mouse where the whole front part is the mouse button. There are no multiple buttons, but yet, this little rodent does the job.

As for a keyboard, the newest version of the Apple Pro Keyboard is dandy. I personally use the Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro and it does great. It has Mac drivers and its hot keys can launch your favorite software or perform commonly used tasks.

The MacAlly iKey is also a nice keyboard. I had one before the MS keyboard and I had to get a refund since the letters on the keys kept disappearing in less than a week. The MacAlly folks had told me that this was not normal, so maybe there was a production problem for one of the batches.

Thanks, Michael!

I ended up with a Kensington mouse which seems perfectly fine so far, though it has the old rubber ball inside…  and the Macally keyboard, which still has all its letters after three days!

I looked at the Apple Pro mouse, but it was just a little too weird .... maybe I’ll get one of those in a year or two.

I appreciate your advice.
