<chuckle> what can I say, there’s a bit of a masochistic streak in me…

I just submitted the link “officially” to you guys via e-mail icon_smile.gif

Which reminds me—is there any sort of protocol about submitting these links to more than one Mac site?  ie, am I causing offense to any of ‘yall by not giving anyone an “exclusive?”

Just wondering…

BlueDjinn, you’ve done it now. Some wanker saw your comparison and wrote a ranting piece of spew about it. (He seemed to think it was an official Apple release, the moron.) He also didn’t understand that it was a price comparison chart and admittedly subjective. He showed less logic and belief in empirical evidence than Friederich Engels.

Now, this is where things get interesting. Somebody submitted the rant to slashdot and THE MORONS POSTED IT. So now the idiot’s rant has caused his site to get slashdotted, and hard. Yours might follow. And once again, a Mac/PeeCee flamefest is going on at slashdot. I tried to explain the reasoning behind your page on slashdot, but we all know that it will be like holding a sponge when the levee breaks.

Congratulations, my friend. You have provided the public some reasonable data, and once again, the public have grabbed the wrong end of the stick and proceeded to beat about the bush with it. Salud!

I will say this: it’s this kind of behavior by the moronia that keeps me thoroughly entertained and tickled.

Tbone—YIKES!!! Hoo-boy, this oughta be fun.

Fortunately for me (but unfortunately for Apple), upon doing some very carefully thought-out revisions, my new (subjective) score has the Gateway system squeaking by into the top spot (the Radeon VE dual-display card did it), with the G4, Dell, and Compaq in a dead heat for 2nd.

Until you switch to the SuperDrive, of course, where the G4 wins (check the revised site for details).

This oughta be fun, though—thanks for the heads-up!! icon_smile.gif

What a mess.

Yes, slashdot is rather messy.

On the other hand, if you are like me and find great amusement in the idiocies of the (m)asses, slashdot is a wonderful source of humor.
