Not grand news, but an interesting bit of fluff in retrospect:

And still no:
China
Korea
Japan
Russia
Canada

Apple share price $200 by July, guaranteed.

Wait a second, Canada was mentioned last week during Rogers’ conference call. I know they’re going to charge too much for the service, but please don’t take it away from us. bug eyed

Nice map!!

I seem to be continually off topic today but if anyone saw the West Wing episode where they have a discussion on the world map you will see that the attached map above is highly distorted.  Check out the reality here:

It look funny because there is no top or bottom. The world is flat don’t you know. I can’t believe maps are even argued about, the earth has been measured to inches and military GPS has mapped the world to perfection. apple

There is no reality, only perceptions. The Peters projection severely distorts shape but preserves area. The traditional Mercator projection distorts both area and shape. The iPhone map is probably the Robinson projection , generally considered close to the best compromise.

What your link confirms officially for the first time (I think) is that the June iPhone will, in fact, be 3G—just as we all strongly suspected. That would be the first official on record confirming this fact.

Iphone distribution looks great, but won’t it be amazing when there is a serious Mac presence via Apple Stores in each of these areas! It’s time to drop a serious halo effect on India.

Wasn’t there an announcement a couple of months ago about Apple stores opening in India? Maybe it was a reseller that was Mac only that was opening a lot of stores.

Yeah, I think I remember that it was a reseller. That along with the first store in China are just the opening salvos. Obviously, with such HUGE markets, there is plenty of opportunities and it’s going to take a while to get an infrastructure set up to reap the harvest.

The Iphone penetration is akin to a paratrooper drop behind enemy lines to prepare the way for a full-scale invasion! big grin
