If the rumors hold true, we’ll be seeing new iPhone models released before the end of June. Are you ready to spring for one?

Probably

I need to see the included features of course, but if the rumor is true then I think Apple will again be several steps ahead of the competition.

Some sort of voice dialing is needed

I’m pretty happy with my current iPhone. Also, I can’t afford to buy another one for at least a couple of years.

Phone’s a phone

I pay equivalent of $7 a month for Virgin Mobile. Of course, my life doesn’t center around a cell phone. I have voice dialing, Internet, games etc. but I don’t use those whistles and bells.

When/If there is a pay as you go plan, I’d consider an iPhone, but not over $150-$200.  My money has more important uses - like saving for a new 8 core tower!!

Works out well for me.

If a new phone comes out, I’ll be giving my 8 GB phone to my 70 year old mother (yes, 70) and upgrading mine.  She is able to use it like a pro after seeing the commercials and playing with my iPhone for a few minutes…amazing.  For her, readability is key and this is the first phone she’s ever LIKED for its screen.  So this will make 3 phones on our account (my wife being the other).  She doesn’t have a computer, but with it she can e-mail, text, and Twitter with ease and I can load new content into it for her from my laptop when I swing by the house.  I’m more excited at the prospect of a higher capacity phone than 3G (HSDPA coverage in SW Florida SUCKS at the moment) but I always like the new shiny thing and this gives me a legitimate excuse to upgrade both of us and terminate her current phone contract.

Oregon Trail on the iPhone

So where is the “Other Oregon”, the eastern part?

As CudaBoy says there are more important uses for money and I too am saving to replace a Mac, in my case it is an iBook. Food, fuel, and other consumables are going up in price. Sooner or later the costs are going to effect utility rates such as, water, electric power, maybe phone service. In San Diego the cost of trash pick-up is covered by our taxes, there is no direct billing to homeowners, but the city is already screeching about the cost of fuel for the trucks.

The southern part that the politicians ignore. Often the State of Jefferson

depends on what new features it has. the current model is a beast and I don’t even use at least 50% of what it can do so I don’t have a need to pick up a new iphone, but… you never know.
