This is yet another iPhone announcement article but talks about the push-email capablilities which nobody has been talking about in the media lately.  This IMO, is what WS is looking for to take the stock above $200. BTW, notice how aapl is up in PM while rimm is down, despite getting new coverage today, started at Buy at GS…

Apple will also roll out its highly anticipated support for corporate e-mail, a capability it showed off earlier this year and that is expected to give iPhone a push into business, which now overwhelmingly use Research In Motion Ltd’s Blackberry devices.

As a shareholder I think what Steve has done to the company since the return has been nothing short of amazing.

Absolutely!  Some criticize SJ because he’s “demanding” and “arrogant”.  I see those traits as his STRENGTHS…not his weaknesses.  It’s much easier, and much less stressful, to be a “nice guy”.  But you don’t get what you NEED from your company by being the “nice guy”.  When someone has a VISION, they have to stick to it.  That is NOT an easy thing to do.  Human nature is to take the “path of least resistance”...when people come up against a wall, rather than break it down, they try to find a way around it.  SJ doesn’t do that.  HE doesn’t let the people around him do that.  He BASHES the wall down and keeps on going…focused on the vision he has for Apple.  We’re lucky he’s running the company.

Radiohead songs finally on iTunes

Radiohead songs finally on iTunes

Radiohead’s back catalogue has appeared on iTunes, making them one of the last high-profile bands to put their body of work on Apple’s leading download store.
The band’s first six studio albums are now available alongside their latest, In Rainbows, which appeared in January.
Radiohead’s former record company EMI has made the works available to buy as complete albums or single tracks.
The Beatles are now the only remaining major British band whose music is not on the service.
Solo work by all of the Fab Four is available, though, and a deal is thought to be only a matter of time.
Radiohead had held out because they wanted fans to buy their albums whole, whereas Apple insists artists allow fans to buy individual tracks.

But the band changed their minds when they moved labels and released In Rainbows on XL.
Garth Brooks, who is second to The Beatles in all-time US record sales - ahead of Elvis Presley - has also refused to join the iTunes revolution.
He wants fans to download only full albums because he says each album is a complete work and the songs are designed to be heard together
“We do albums, we have always done albums,” he told the BBC News website.
Referring to songs from his 1990 album No Fences, he continued: “Friends in Low Places is not Friends in Low Places without Wolves or Wild Horses.
“And if people try to make it a money issue, I can get the full album to the consumer for much less than they can get it at 99 cents a song.
“There are a number of issues that need to be addressed in the digital downloading world before we introduce our music to it.”
AC/DC have also stopped their material from appearing on iTunes, choosing instead to sign an exclusive deal for full album downloads with US mobile phone operator Verizon.
And Def Leppard’s latest album is on there, while the rest of their catalogue is not.
But the vast majority of other acts have now signed up to iTunes.

Radiohead songs finally on iTunes….....

Very cool! Big fan just saw em in concert a few weeks ago one of my fav groups of all time! Glad to see their audience will get a bit bigger now. They have a very active online presence with their own individual websites so I understood kinda why they didnt want to go fully with itunes at first. I think it speaks volumes about the pull that itunes has though. big grin Resistance is futile!

From AppleInsider

Looks like the WWDC will premier the new “commercial” for whatever the product is.

More rumors on 3G iPhone filmings

ValleyWag is running with a first-hand account from Apple’s recent commercial shoot out in Los Angeles, which is interesting in that it corroborates several of the specifics first published by AppleInsider on Friday.

Among those details were that Apple built a full-scale replica of an Apple retail store interior for the shoot and that all non-essentials were forced to vacate the set when the product of honor was brought out.

In its report, however, ValleyWag adds that the set took two days to construct on the same Warner Bros. lot used to film the movie “The Perfect Storm.” It added that film from the shoot will be shown off during Steve Jobs’ opening keynote address at next week’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

In speaking to AppleInsider, one person familiar with the filming claims that one of the scenes portrayed two CIA-type individuals trekking through the halls of a high tech building carrying an aluminum case. After a series of mundane corridors, they arrive at an Apple Store Genius Bar where they open to case to reveal the “product.

Given that Apple may have filmed several scenes on the LA set, there is no guarantee that any one particular scene will see the light of day, though it’s published for the sake of interest and discussion.

Probably filming multiple locations for multiple spots, or different scenes in the same spot. Possibly different products: A touch commercial, perhaps. or a tablet commercial.

Interesting ... the back-to-school free iPod promotion is on the Apple web site but there was no press release (that I could find) and very little reporting in the press.

T, that would be a very expensive bit of cunning (closing the store for the better part of a day)!

I wonder if SJ sits in his house at night when these types of things are happening and laughs an evil mad laugh or two at the thought of us mere mortals trying to guess what’s going on?

They possibly made a duplicate of the 5th Ave store for some destructive/disruptive special effects.  smile

Another option is in order to bring in some special celebrities that would not have been hidden if the filmed in 5th Ave.
