Friday morning we enter into the last full trading day before the WWDC keynote. What’s up in terms of AAPL news as we move into a seemingly long weekend ahead of Monday’s anticipated product news?

Edited to archive.

macrumors has an extensive thread with more links to more pictures.

The pictures shed light on the two-bridges-concept:

OS X Leopard - The world’s most advanced operating system

This is near-proof of the tablet, I’d say. resellers don’t sell iPhones.

Edit: it is of course just a wind-up created with one envelope, one box and an Apple keyboard.

The wording is vague, but this is potentially very exciting. On the basis that these things are propagating around the world, what are the chances of some kind of leak (or box opening) before Monday? Pretty high, I’d guess! smile

Hugely exciting but sorry I think it’s a fake and so easy to mock up. Would Apple risk a leak when they could get a courier could deliver them first thing on day. I am sorry there is just too much at stake for Apple to let these boxes float about…

RBC says possible 25 million iPhones in 2008!!!

just in from Briefing.com

AAPL Apple: Checks, proprietary data point to pent up iPhone 2.0 demand - RBC (185.19 )

RBC says that ahead of the widely anticipated iPhone 2.0 announcement at WWDC, firm’s global carrier checks, point to strong pent up demand for a next generation iPhone. Assuming AAPL ships a 3G iPhone by July, they continue to est AAPL ships 14 mln units in CY08, 24 mln CY09. Firm ests AAPL ships 4-5 mln iPhones 2.0 the 1st 90 days after launch of iPhone 2.0. Firm believes the possible launch of an entry level iPhone and/or compelling 3G iPhone pricing, could boost iPhone’s expected momentum 50-100%, in which case their outlook could become 20-25 mln iPhones CY08 or 40-50 mln CY09.

The comforting thing to me about the Moscone pictures is from the front is does not look like the iphone is changing appearance. The bad part is there is no front facing camera. apple

Those were my thought exactly.  I can not imagine apple being able to release the iPhone on Monday, but some how keep it a secret until then.

I think it will be announced on Monday but will not be available for another week or so.  Not only will this increase the mayhem and build up anticipation, but practically it is the only way to keep it secret while releasing it around the world at the same time.  Plus they will need to deliver lots of iPhones to lots of place instantly, which will take some time.

Good morning Lara, those spongy ears must have heard me yesterday. Look in the intraday archives from yesterday, you can’t say nobody has wondered where you have been. smile  smile  apple

These boxes may only contain the giant display phones that hang in the windows of stores. Since we don’t know the arrangements Apple has made in Australia (which resellers may be able to sell the phone), it’s hard to give any reliable credibility to boxes.

All those tankers with cargo carriers we saw in the rumor sites last week, were coming here (west coat of USA). I think Apple would ship direct from China to Australia or other countries. This leads me to believe the roll out may be later overseas. But I’ve seen nothing to give a clear picture (until Monday) as to the release date in the states.

The mystery box is fake, of course. If not, someone at Apple Australia has already lost his job. Everything connected with a “secret” launch must remain under direct control of Apple and subcontractors until after the keynote.

I’m still on for touch tablet (with iLife touch natch) handed out to attendees;  iPhone 18th/19th June in US.
