With new 3G iphones coming out soon, would it make more senceto buy a used iphone instead of an ipod touch?  Just wondered if the non-phone features are a better value to have than the touches’
I don’t need a phone (plus no ATT coverage here) and thought there may be a flodd of older gen iphones for sale soon.

Thoughts?

It’s been a while since you posted, but what the hey….

One possible drawback to iPhone-as-iPod-touch might be that the whole thing won’t work until you activate it somehow. Even if that’s not the case, the phone might drain the battery quicker, just because it’s there and running.

I don’t know if either situation is going to be true, but those are the two possible problems that first come to mind.

Well, if you don’t need a phone, the the iPod touch would be fine, plus I’d rather go with the new iPod touch than the used iPhone, but thats just me
