[quote author=“litespeed”]Bounced of of 100 8 times in 20 seconds. IMO, if we pierce it, we move fast.

Yes, but since we didn’t move, we might be pinned to 100 for OE.  frown

That’s what it has been looking like all morning.

We need a little broad market cooperation today.

BTW, according to iqauto, maxpain is still at $110. But it the chart is very flat with $105 and $115 being almost as good, with $100 being close behind.  roll eyes

[quote author=“litespeed”]I hope it hits that 120 before Tuesday’s close…

The main problem is that there is a lot of doubt in the Street that Apple will achieve decent sales with the new “too expensive” macBook line.

Not that this is true but that many firmly believe it.

That may be true, but what will drive aapl up or down will be the broader market. If it rockets, we rocket. Conversely…

Consumer Confidence numbers came in lower than estimates, which is not helping.

I like the new design. But, I bought a new MacBook in July with edu promo (my wife is a teacher smile) At the time I bought a mid-range, 2.4 GHz, 2GB RAM, 160B HD, made from white plastic. Price was $1299 (not with edu discount).

The new ones are aluminum and with a better graphics card. But the chip is slower at 2.0 GHz and it doesn’t have firewire and yet it still sells for $1299.  I can see why some are saying it is too expensive.

I think he’s saying that there’s a lot of resistance at 100.

Is that because of consumer sentiment being down?

Is it because of some one trying to keep AAPL below 100 for OE?

Is it because a lot of people bought at 85 and are selling to take profits?

All are possible.

But why is AAPL so different from the rest of the market? 4.5% down relative to the NAS :x
