I recently entered the following string of text in a message:

...S&P500;is...

EDIT: dang! There it does it even in (code)!!!!

and the forum would post

...S&P500;is...

(note the semicolon).

No amount of editing the post would get rid of the semicolon until I put a blank space between “S&P” and “500”.

I think the forum engine interprets the ampersand followed by four characters as a special HTML numeric or entity reference. This may cause problems at some point.
