  Are you referring to SMART notification for hard drives? Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology.

  No.  (Yes, I do have hard drive smart notification active.  Its green.)

  In the email preferences of the MacObserver Forums, there is a Smart Notification.  http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/forums/observer/edit_email/
