connect mac book pro to lcd tv

  hi i was wondering if anyone could help me out. i want to connect my mac book pro (17in, 08 model) to my sony lcd tv. I have no idea how to do that, like which cables to use or anything!
  so, yea if someone here on the forums could guide me in the right direction about this, i’d be grateful!

  What connections are available on your TV?

  You could get a DVI to HDMI cable.

  In addition to the DVI to HDMI cable, you’ll need an audio connection, from the headphone output on the Pro to the audio-in (red and white) sockets on the television. (At least, this is how I got the setup to work, using a G4 PowerBook and and LCD TV.) Picture and sound quality excellent, by the way.
