Hello Fellow mac geeks:

I’m going to be getting three Drobos in the near future and loading them up with 4x 1.5TB drives for a total usable storage space of 4.1TB (after data protection)

is it possible for me to partition the usable data space into 2 halves and use the one for local system back-ups and the other partition for back-up of the the other drobos, and so on and so forth so that the drobo#1 backs up to drobo#2 and that drobo#2 backs up to drobo#3 and drobo#3 backs up to drobo#1. so if any one drobo explodes or burns down in the building I can restore a replacement drobo.

is this possible and if so how do i go about it? (i need this data to be super secure and this seems like a good bet)

(the drobos are several dozens of miles apart from one another so i will be using the internet)
