Rather emphatic way to say “I’m b-a-a-a-ck.”

The number is staggering and the execs at VZ and Sprint must be swallowing hard this morning. The numbers are even more impressive considering the exclusive carrier arrangement in the States. I’m assuming at least a few hundred thousand new customers will find their way to AT&T during the first week of sales.

Please remember one million (or more) units shipped doesn’t mean one million units sold through to customers and activated. Activations will lag reported sales results. Deferred revenue or no, this kind of sales performance will brighten up the company’s results for the quarter, especially the non-GAAP results and add materially to the deferred revenue balance and the company’s cash pile.
