iPhone OS Devices Required On Campus

ACU gave iPhones to all incoming freshmen, last year.

I heard it was covered by financial aid at a university. Now if only I could get my univ to do that… honestly though, it doesn’t seem necessary for freshmen to have one. If the univ’s purpose is to have podcast lectures then they can be played on any computer with iTunes installed.

Here at George Fox University we are giving out iPod Touches to all incoming freshman along with MacBooks and the buzz is all about the Touches. We do see the iPhone OS device as the significant turning point for mobile computing in the classroom. I think we will see the laptop take on it’s designed role as transportable and the iPhone device as the “Information at Your Fingertips” device for the classroom. http://laptops.georgefox.edu
