What to do with an old iPhone?

When I upgraded from the original iPhone to a 3GS I chose to convert my old iPhone into an 8GB iPod touch-like device. It’s intended to be my handheld gaming device. I hardly have time during the work day to bother with loading amusing games or time distractions on my new iPhone so I’ll use the old one at home or away (such as vacations) when there’s leisure time in greater abundance.

What are some other uses for old iPhones?

When I got the 3GS, my 3G went to my wife to replace her original iPhone, and her original iPhone was to become a “test” device for here at the TMO Towers.  My 7-year-old son, however, had a different idea.  As soon as he realized what was about to happen, he inquired and asked if perhaps he should get the (deactivated) iPhone to use as a gaming machine, which is now exactly what he does!
