Hi,

Im sure this question has been asked quite a few times, but having not found the answer Im looking for I though I would ask again.

Is it possible to get iCal to work with Exchange server? If it is how do I go about doing this?

We recently have had several users switch to iMacs but I can’t get see anyway to get them to sync with Exchange Server.

The two issues we are experiencing are that when a Mac user sends an invite to an outlook user they cant except the meeting invite and outlook users cant see if a Mac user is free for a meeting.

I have heard about a piece of software by Snerdware but they seem to have closed down.

If anyone can tell me if any of this is possible that would be great.

Thank you in advance.

Stephen

What versions of iCal/Mac OS X and Exchange server are you using?  iCal in Snow Leopard supports Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. As far as I understand, other versions aren’t supported. I’ll alert John to this thread and see what he thinks. I know he uses it this way.

Hi Dave,

We are using Small business Server 2003 (Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003).

The Macs are currently running OSX 10.5.7. I do have a Macbook Pro running 10.6.1 which I could try if that might make a difference.

I have got Mail running with the exchange server, that was relatively painless.

I think the easiest solution would be to get the everyone to use Entourage but apparently no one want’s to use this as they wouldnt be abble to sync their iPhones.

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Stephen

This Mac OS X Hints article (and the article that pointed me there) both talk about getting this to work a few different ways. Perhaps there’s some help here?
