Hey Gang, I have an odd problem. I recently bought a 21.5” iMac, moving from a G5 iMac 20” iSight. I did not use the migration assistant but instead moved the required files over to make sure my address book made it over intact. When I use Address Book within Snow Leopard, I see all my contact default photos fine. The problem is that even though I sync my address book every time I sync my iPhone, none of the photos make it over. Even more oddly, my account photo (on the iPhone) is wrong. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions?

Cheers

EDIT: iTunes, iPhone, OS are all up to date

There’s a forum thread that suggests you need to edit the photo in Address Book before it will sync.  Contact photos that have only been dragged in, won’t sync.

Hope that helps, and let us know how it goes!

Stephen, thank you so much for doing some leg work for me.  I will try what is suggested in that forum when I get the chance.  Seriously, I really appreciate your research.

Hi Matthew, sure thing.  If this is indeed true, I think we’d like to run it as a “Quick Tip” here on TMO, so it really benefits everyone.  Hope it goes well.
