Installed CS4 but After Effects didn’t install
Just installed CS4 Production Premier (student edition)...it includes AE but AE didn’t install. When I got the original install window I selected custom and it wouldn’t let me check the box to install AE…did a full install and it still didn’t install it. Anyone have any idea?
I should add the other applications such as Photoshop installed perfectly and run fine.[ Edited: 23 November 2009 09:29 PM by UMDirector ]
If Photoshop installs fine but After Effects doesn’t, check out which video card your Mac has. After Effects requires a 1280x900 display and an OpenGL 2.0 compatible video card. Photoshop can get by with a 1024x768 display and most 16-bit video cards, but works better with an OpenGL 2.0 video card. Without having any additional info about your Mac’s specs, I’m betting After Effects isn’t available during installation because it can’t run on your computer.
