Tiger Media
-
Here is the scoop:
I have a G4 with Tiger loaded on it and I want to hook it up to my TV and stereo as a media server. I already have the cables. FYI - HD is not something that I am after. I want to stream this all from a USB drive that I have shared using an APE and everything will be hard wired.
Without front row…..what is the best way to do this?
-
Join the cable in back port.If this is not suitable then you can buy a external port for this.
Thank you

Have you tried boxee?
-
Try external pord or you can use boxee.

I’m in a similar boat, err Mac that is.
Power Macintosh Mirrored Drive Doors G4 1.25Ghz running 10.5.8.
I tried a couple of the more popular “media servers” but discovered the MDD just wasn’t really up to spec for it…...
It does work serving up video to a 1st Gen iPad using an app called Playback (A DLNA Server).
Now if only I could get my (old) HDX 1000 (Network Media Tank) to consistently to see Playback I’d be happy. My iPad sees Playback just fine….
