Umm, let me go left to right on the menubar stuff. First is PthClock (freeware), which is a more “exciting” clock than the default one. It’s got a drop down calendar, and if you hover the mouse over the time, you get the date too. It also allows for color changing, and moving around.
Next is Meteorologist (freeware) which gets weather from weather.com. It was recently profiled as a TMO Monday Mac Gadget . It gives me the current weather for Cupertino, as well as any other (US) city.
Next is DeskShade Plus (shareware, $6.99), which I mostly use to keep my desktop looking uncluttered. It takes your desktop image and “hides” the actual desktop with it. It also runs a screensaver or movie as your desktop, and lets you lock you desktop without a screensaver (the lock lets you see failed attempts at passwords, in case someone tries to hax0r you).
Then we have Airport, sound, and battery, which should be familiar.
All the way to the right is LaunchBar (shareware $19.95) and is probably my most indespensible tool these days. (As soon as I get paid, they’re *definately* getting paid.) It’s hard to describe accurately…you can control everything, and open anything (bookmarks, folders, send emails) from LB with just a few keystrokes.
