This is for exiled posts unsuited to their topics smile

Whatever happened or was posted was literally years ago, so get the f over it ok?

Time to move on.. enough with this petty political bickering. Got a political rant? Post it here and get it off your chest. This topic is NO HOLDS BARRED so say whatever you want. Political correctness does not exist in this topic, so nobody get offended at what anyone says, but try to keep it at least rational, reasonable, and above all, logical. I don’t care if you think white people are trash, black presidents are stupid, republicans hate gays or democrats want to rape your kids’ trust fund to pay for medicare. Just get it off your chest ok? Knock yourselves out, just keep it out of the other topics!

I thought this fit here especially well…..

It sounds as though Obama became a follower as well as figurehead of his own cult of personality. He overestimated the degree to which he was special as opposed to lucky—a very human failing.

Yes, if you’re lucky enough, shit will do for brains.

Man, you don’t even know what a real RANT IS.

Those were just banter and quips.

Tune in Thursday night for a VERY LONG RANT, that most definitely WILL affect your stock holdings.

And THAT is what I call a political RANT.

This too is fitting in this new space

Politicians try to reinvent themselves all the time, and some find success. But it only works if there’s some credibility behind the shift—some truth in advertising, if you will. That’s why its’ [sic] hard to see the public buying into Obama’s impersonation of William Jennings Bryan. It’s simply not who he is.

what I learned is that the public wants it and they want it now.  Bush had 70% approval rating when the public felt he was keeping them safe.  Once they forgot about terrorism and realized their houses start to depreciated they turned on the R’s hence we have Obama.

Obama thought and still thinks his personality will save his ass, and the he can afford to lose a few Senators and Congressman in order to give the Libs one last shot of making this country into a socialistic crap hole.  Well the public is turning on him and his party pretty fast.  Unemployment is not going down and he thinks no one is really paying attention to his promises on that issue.  Well not only will he lose a bunch of seats in fall, but come 2012 if unemployment is still above 8% and he no longer controls congress he will lose in a landslide because nothings will get done.

Looks like I’ll have to get my ranting back up to speed; out off practice in this new pc environment where it is almost illegal to offend somebody.

LOL

I think we are all pissed at the way WS is treating our beloved stock and we will take it out on Obama. big grin

But in all seriousness I think the general public and the investing community has high expectations out of his promises and if he can’t deliver there will be hell to pay.  Puffing his chest and sounding brave won’t cut it.  he is partially right that the anger that put him in office put Brown in office, but what he fails to understand is that the D’s and him will be the ones who will be at the end of the line when this all plays out.  This is not a time for big moves and initiatives, but rather a steady hand on the wheel to keep us out of the ditch.  The problem is that he is too focused on agenda rather then tangible results.

I can tell you as a fact, that when I talk to our lobbyist in DC, they tell me little job creation legislation is being worked on because he is focusing on Health Care and Cap and Trade and congress is frozen as a result .  He could have created a million construction jobs had he dropped the NEPA regulations for new projects and listened to the Chairman of the Transportation committee a (D) and passed the Transportation Authorization Bill.  Now it is too late and his party will have hell to pay come Nov.

MA was a wake up call, but he sees it as a rallying call for his agenda.  He will be shocked come Nov.

The choice seems to be between the corporatists and the socialists.  Americans like neither, and it is only when these rascals successfully masquerade as Norman Rockwell Americans that they are able to gain power.  Of course, once they are in office the facade disappears and they are hated.  What is tragic is the large group of people on each end of the spectrum who never wake up and realize that America is alternately run either to benefit the corporations or the public employees’ unions.  The rest of us are simply consumers to be milked.  As soon as we fail to be good consumers we are expendable.

... America is alternately run either to benefit the corporations or the public employees’ unions ...

That’s how I feel to be after staying in America for seven years.  Thank you for confirming my feeling.
