Not going to lie, I am a little disappointed so far.  There is nothing new that isn’t on the iPhone.  Sure it is thinner and its easier to use a big screen, but I was expecting something new.

Price and delivery won’t be till the end. I’m finding engadget to be the most reliable, but me being in the UK may make a difference.

People were expecting a platinum lined device that telepathically communicated with you and took your dog for a walk, truth is, at these price points, I’d love one of these for most of what I carry a laptop around for… supplemented by a iMac for heavy lifting such as logic pro, photoshop, and final cut. I think a lot of others will too.

I didn’t see anything about a camera? No ichat? That would be a shame.

Total letdown IMO.  The only decent thing is the price.

Looks awesome to me. Would be even better if it has a camera and gps.

CNBC is misreporting that the iPad only works with AT&T.

I’m happy with it. Disappointed about not being multi-user, but that’s offset by the excellent starter price. Compare it with a $499 Windows laptop/netbook. Which do you prefer?

Enough features to succeed, but enough left out to let us upgrade in 2 years.

specs on Apple site say nothing about a camera. “assisted GPS” in 3G model.

Market share will jump. If the economy doesn’t go to hell this is a real winner. Downside is cannibalization.
