I want to know if I can use my iPhone internet tethering over Bluetooth with the iPad? Then I don’t need 3G on the iPad, whether radio or data plan. Yes, I live in a nice country where tethering is enabled on the iPhone.

Absolutely, positively, yes or no; is there a video camera?
Ditto, for iChat.

Jobs did not demonstrate, mention, or in any way hint at the presence of a camera or iChat. Nor is there any indication of one on the iPad site. Unless they hadn’t yet finalized the hardware configuration prior to the announcement, the answer is a definite no.

That is, it’s not entirely impossible, but what are the chances? Mass manufacturing would have been imminent, if not already underway, at that time. How could it have not been decided yet?

1)  Related to iJack’s question, why _isn’t_ there a webcam on the iPad?  (Assuming there isn’t one, I’m aware Apple could easily give a BS answer for why not but I’m still interested in hearing what they have to say about the matter.)

2)  What impact does 3G have on battery life?

Pls. clarify video signal in and out. I’m not clear on the ports. Can I use it as a bonus external monitor?
