Tomorrow is OPRAH with the iPad!

That will drive the sales higher than today did.

...Apple shipped 2.94 million Macintosh computers during the quarter, a unit increase of 33 percent over the year-ago quarter. Quarterly iPhone unit sales reached 8.75 million, up 131 percent from the year-ago quarter, and the company also sold 10.89 million iPods during the quarter, representing 1 percent unit decline over the year-ago quarter.

From an earlier story last week…

For its part, IDC takes a much more dismal view of Apple’s U.S. performance during the quarter, calculating Apple’s market share there at only 6.4% on shipments of just over 1.1 million Macs, well below Gartner’s estimate of nearly 1.4 million units. IDC’s numbers have Apple’s U.S. shipments growing only 8.3% year-over-year, significantly below the industry’s overall growth rate of 16.9%.

Talk about a broke tracking system.  Gartner’s number is pretty accurate, but the folks at IDC better get a new pencil or hire out their guessing.  I know I wouldn’t pay money for that kind of information.  If we add 80% of the retail number to the Americas,  I get 1.455 but Americas includes more areas then just US so guess IDC will claim they got it right.

So aapl is now a mere 6 points higher then it was at the end of last week before GS news.

We did go from 241 to 265 in two days.

I still think WS hates Macs and punish aapl for it.  If we had a conservative pe of 30 we should be at 356 right now.

If history repeats itself we will see 245 again.

I hope we don’t but I would have liked to see 265 and hold that in AH.

    Last AH:
    20:01   $ 245.44   7,100
    19:59   $ 257.36   300

    Is the 245,44 / 7.100 again a phony sale?

Classic premarket TRAP, perception stock is going up 260+ and BOOM in no time the stock is at 255 or below…. Watch

EDIT: See how AAPL does not go beyond 260

PS SEC’s case against GS just lost a pillar. GS could rally hard with more evidence

Agreed. However, we will probably see an Oprah pump today since I’m told she is showing off the iPad today on her show.
