AAPL Intraday Updates (Archive)

I thought the quality of the questions in the Q&A portion at the end far surpassed anything Walt and Kara came up with.

Steve Jobs doing his D8 interview right now, which looks to be a gem based on the liveblog reports.  But I wonder if that ever-present “elephant in the room”, if you know what I mean (hint: you don’t have to look very hard, as with most of those types of elephants), may cause downward pressure on AAPL.

Maybe I’m being dense, but no, I don’t know what you mean.

I was wondering if this SJ quote might be referencing the rumored redesigned Apple TV (which I want): “The only way this is going to change is if you start from scratch, tear up the box, redesign and get it to the consumer in a way that they want to buy it. ”  Thoughts?

Ahh, yes.  He does honestly look sickly.  When I saw this picture, I thought of Steven Hawking.

On the other hand, the tone & intensity of his answers show a lot of strength.

Well, as an investor and (more importantly) a person who hopes that people can live happy, healthy lives in general, I’ll just hope for the best.  A 5-minute clip from D8 (on the website) just went up, and Steve seems to be brimming with energy and enthusiasm.  It’s an A+ interview from him.

What I get from appearances at D8 is that Steve’s relationship with Starbucks has cooled.  Other than that, if he says his sex life is great, I believe him…

I believe that comment, in relation to Google, was he was frequently “F***‘ed” by some others.

Agreed.  And if Walt wasn’t such a gentleman, he could have followed up in Jeopardy-like fashion and asked:  How do you like getting F****d by Google?

Remember AAPL closed green yesterday even though the DOW closed down.  On just the 5-day chart, AAPL is up nearly 5% compared to the DOW +0.4%.

Was Gene munster right when he said mondays event won’t be a stock moving event. I was expecting a little more price appreciation before monday.

Guys, IMO AAPL is weak because Steve looked physically weak and frail at the All Things D. Many wondering his condition a year after the surgery ?.  “Steve is Apple” when it comes to investors. I hope I am wrong.

Also Steve’s responses did not hint of any new surprises and as such no catalyst to propel the stock up

I think he looked great, not any different then he has the last few months. If people had any concern about his health the stock would be down, way down.
