How to backup my file from my ipad to mac?

  I’m a freahman in ipad and i don’t know how to backup my important files to my mac.i usally lost my file…it puzzled me so much that if someone can help me i will be very glad~

  When you connect your iPad to your computer it should be automatically back up.

  If you’re not sure whether this is happening, plug your iPad into your computer and open iTunes. Hold the control button on your keyboard while you click the name of the iPad in the left sidebar of iTunes. A menu should pop up which has an option to back up your iPad.
