The iPhone as a Landmark Invention
-
Sometimes you encounter Apple references in the oddest places. Today I was reading this article on tool use and meat eating by Australopithecus
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/08/100811135039.htm
when at the end of the third paragraph I ran across this.:“Tool use fundamentally altered the way our early ancestors interacted with nature, allowing them to eat new types of food and exploit new territories. It also led to tool making—a critical step in our evolutionary path that eventually enabled such advanced technologies as airplanes, MRI machines, and iPhones.”
I didn’t realize that the iPhone was such a landmark development in the evolution of humanity.

If I remember correctly you don’t have an iPhone.

I guess it is just that the iPhone is the latest example. Had they written the paper 20 years ago it would have written a Mac or even a PC.

“Works of art, in my opinion, are the only objects in the material universe to possess internal order, and that is why, though I don’t believe that only art matters, I do believe in Art for Art’s sake.” E. M. Forster

.An iPhone? I’m not sure I trust this newfangled ‘wheel’ thing yet.
