Here is a story that depicts Apple at a whole new level: going beyond the greatness of the Apple Store itself to impact the entire neighborhood. You can’t buy this kind of image building with advertising alone:

I used to live not far from that neighborhood a long time ago and it was one of the worst in Chicago. Nice to see the changes.

I entirely agree with Apple’s thinking here. A single building renovation was not enough for that area. The mantra “location, location, location” is improved : “be the location, inside and out”. Apple did that in NYC and Shanghai. There will be more renovations like the Chicago one; I hope a lot more.
