I had to do this, nobody else would. I know us older people resist change, but dang, all that free space on the sides drives me nuts. FTR, simple is good. Now where is that cleaning kit?

It’s cripplingly slow for me. Doing something to the browser that there is significant lag in *typing*. I don’t think I can use it in its current form.

Our apologies. This was a very early-stage test that was not meant to roll live. We’re in the process of rolling back. Stay tuned.

I can deal with change, but it’s no net gain for me.  It’s very, very irritating when my iPhone keeps bringing up cached copies of the week-ago or so topic lists just because I tap the back button.  It’s happening way more or just plain happening compared to the old forums.

Thank you Dave, it had me in panic mode. I did look at the profile editing areas and they did look cleaner. There were several issues with that layout that I hope get canned. FTR, there are quite a few of us here that are over 40, please keep that in mind. Speed is a necessity.

Question, is there a reason why avatar pics are limited to 100x100?

BTW, The advertising between posts is a bad idea.

    This alone = MASSIVE FAIL!

This thing actually locked up my Mac. WTF? that hasn’t happened to me in years. If it ain’t easier to use, faster, etc. Then don’t do it. Grrrrrrrr is right.

I had a post on this all ready to go asking if the Fisher Price look was going to stay, but held off because i am new around here.  Thought maybe it was a change everyone wanted. I thought the new look was terrible.

I’m a little confused: is anyone still seeing this “new” look?

It was only live for about an hour last night (11:00 pm ET or so) and, as I said, was never intended to be pushed at all. It’s more a working backend test model where we’ve tried a lot of different things out.  As a whole it is woefully incomplete and its appearance for that hour was simply an administrative error on our part.

Please let me know if any of you are still seeing this.

Thanks, and our apologies for the confusion.

No everything is normal now. I was spooked by an earlier post which said it was an early test, as if some similar format was going to reappear later.

If TMO wants to improve the AFB, than offer an App. for the iPad and for Mac OSX, when Lion is released. Ideally, a paid App without the advertisements. But until then, leave the present format alone. Thank you.

Are there any iPad/forum apps that particularly strike your fancy? Would be great to see an example of what you like.
