Do you know something we don’t? As in, wasn’t Jamaica planned for when AAPL strikes $700 per share?

Been about four for me. Where are you thinking about going?
Gran Bahia in Ocho Rio. I has been longer than that for me. I know as long as you are on resort you are OK, but move off the resort and you take your life in your own hands.

I don’t think it’s quite that bad but it is a place you need to be careful. (which is sad given what a paradise it could be) My contractor used to go every year to Negril. He didn’t stay at an all-inclusive and wandered pretty freely. He did say that every year when approached by a local on the beach he’d scream, “I don’t want to buy any drugs!” Said that no one would come any where near him after that. :-D We just stayed at the all-inclusives and didn’t wander much. Prefer the beach @ Negril but if you haven’t climbed the falls @ Dunn’s River it’s worth doing.

I’d like to spend 3 or 4 weeks on a beach in the caribbean, courtesy of my apple profits of course.
Seems like there are too many options to know where to stay/play. Any suggestions? I’ve been to Jamaica once, and someone here suggested Aruba. Any help?

I have climbed the falls, but Tammy has not. Probably the best off resort feature in Jamaica. Will probably go zip lining also. Negril is the best, but pricey. Have to save some money for Vegas in May and Disney in June.

Bill, that is music to my ears. Aruba is great. I can already tell you where I will be staying there, The Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino. Although I am not sure this group could adapt to the Caribbean way. It is not just leaving the country, it is another world. :bugeyed: You know what I mean?Thanks for the input Bill. Just finished booking. All set to go now. I will be nice and tan when the Vegas trip rolls around in Apr/May. 8-)

No Bill, that is where I will stay if we (AFB) end up in Aruba. I stayed there a few years ago and have been dying to go back.We are staying at the Gran Bahia Principe in Jamaica.
