2TB drive in Time Capsule ?

  Does anyone know what drive Apple uses in the 2TB version of the Time Capsule ? I want to upgrade the HDD in my TC again & thought it would be a good idea to use the same drive Apple ships.

  Or if anyone has upgraded the drive & has some alternative suggestions I’d be happy to hear those as well.

  According to an AppleInsider teardown I found, it’s a standard 7200 RPM 3GB/s SATA Hitachi Deskstar (that’s the 1TB, I couldn’t find info on the 2TB, but it’s probably similar).

  My suggestion is to browse reviews for hard drives.

  Thanks, the teardown suggest replacing with a"green drive” to reduce heat etc. I’ve ordered a Samsung 5400 RPM eco drive. I’ll see how that goes…........
